Most developed and advanced countries rely mainly on modern technology which is being used mainly in the administrative machinery. Most of the Administrative Systems have direct communication through computer networks. Third world countries including Arabs Countries have begun to realize the importance of manipulating modern technology in the scientific and economic domains - Geographical data and information techniques have also given a new dimension to digital data bases through establishing a special connection to acquired data and information and benefiting from remote sensing techniques which has now become one of the basic data bases building resources. Planning of disaster management and conformation is one of the major vital fields - The speed and accuracy of modern technology devices and its role in business execution has actually prompted civil defense agency to make full use of modern technology in civil defense activities in order to speed rescue, evacuations, sheltering and accommodation work. - The theme of this book will be presented in four chapters as follows:. Chapter one: Trends laws of the civil defense system in the Arab countries Chapter two: The main activities of the civil defense. Chapter three: Models systems of modern technology and its uses in civil defense. Chapter four: planning and the use of modern technology in the activities of civil defense - Chapter one : Is entitled "Civil Defense Regulations Trends in Arab Countries": This emanates from the fact that civil protection saves human and protects their properties in all circumstances during wars, disturbances and disasters. The most significant functions of civil protection is to safeguard people against natural, industrial and war dangers to alleviate the consequences. Civil protection agencies in several Arab Countries are assigned the Ministry of Interior. - Chapter two: Is about disasters and their types, nature and characteristics. The world has recently witnessed several types of disasters The main activities of the civil defense and civil protection , including: security and safety / preventive enlightens / early warning for disaster / volunteer work in civil protection / emergency treatment / firefighting / emergency plans / management some of natural disasters ( floods / earthquakes ) / Search and rescue / evacuation / accommodation Operations / administration and face - incidents of mass destruction weapons ( chemical weapons - biological weapons (nuclear weapons ) / face of accidents caused by terrorist operations / and finally reconstruction And finally re-situation to what it was before the accident / disaster). - Chapter three: Talks about modern electronic technology systems and their manipulation in civil defense role in disaster confrontation. It focuses on three themes.: The first theme: the importance of information technology to the activities of civil defense ,The second theme: the basic systems of computer technology. The third theme: Technical information systems and their uses. - the most important electronic technology systems: - (1)Intelligent Information Systems. - .(2)Geographic Information System (GIS) - .(3) Remote Sensing - .(4) Thermal Imaging Technology - .
